I went down to New Orleans to work on a small documentary on Voodoo Fest this year, after the shoot was wrapped, we adventured around the city and spent some quality time in Preservation Hall. One afternoon Ben Jaffe, Danny Clinch, Clint Maedgen, Pete Levin, Charlie Gabriel, and Kid Koala jammed at the hall. It was a Blues, Jazz, DJ fusion…and it was amazing, a true experiment of mixing genres.
After the hall closed the last night we were in town, the Tangiers Blues Band got together and wrote a few songs in reflection of being stuck in New Orleans while Hurricane Sandy passed over all our homes. It seems every time I’m in NOLA, perfect yet very late nights are a must.
New Orleans – Preservation Hall

Man, I love that room. Some serious voodoo in these photos.
