Cory Brown’s bus, parked under the BQE in Willamsburg, was getting a ticket a day.
The bus had some serious problems, could barely start, smoked like hell, and didn’t fit in a standard parking space, pretty much the worst vehicle you could own in NYC. He told me he was going to fix it up, move into it, drive across the country, and find a new place to live. One of his last weekends in town, I photographed him and his monster bus, to document the end of an era. It took an hour to get it started, and he barely felt comfortable driving around the block, in fear of it breaking down in traffic.
Fair well Cory.
